Outdoor Living Areas
At Fine Edge Landscape Design, our main specialty is the design and installation of custom outdoor living areas. With over 30 years in the landscape and construction field, we have the experience to implement any design into reality.
All of our projects start with a scaled 3-D design and then a design meeting at the retail store to make any revisions and choose specific materials. This is by far the easiest way to make sure all parties are on the same page in regards to exact layout, spacing, material selection and scheduling.
As with any investment, we want to make sure that we plan for any and all situations that we may face during the installation process. This may include things like proper drainage, utility locations, irrigation, low voltage lighting, handicap access, fencing, future planting area and general safety. If a project is going to be spread out over 2-3 phases, we definitely want to make sure that all factors are taken into consideration from the very beginning.
Many contractors will shy away from certain projects or tell the client that it can't be done. This is usually because:
(1) They have never done it before and have no idea how to start the process.
(2) It's beyond their scope of work or it may be too big or challenging.
(3) They're scared!
So, don't worry! That's why we're here. We have the knowledge, we have the design capabilities, we have the equipment, we have the personnel that excel in certain areas of the hardscape field & we love a challenge.
Take a look at some of our projects and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

South Charlotte Rear Yard Renovation
One of the main objectives for this project was creating a better way to access the lower portion of the rear yard.
This involved a complete demo of the existing yard and installation of retaining walls, steps and walkways.
In addition, we enlarged the existing patio, replaced the travertine, added new irrigation, planting, mulch, fescue sod and low voltage landscape lighting.
